Our Services

At Inner Western Psychology, we provide therapy for adolescents (15+) and adults, and assessment for children (12+) and adults. Our work focuses on helping you better understand yourself, reduce distress, regulate emotions, improve relationships, and develop practical strategies for meaningful change in day-to-day life.

Support is tailored to each person and may draw on a range of evidence-based approaches, including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), schema therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), interpersonal psychotherapy (IPT) and psychodynamic therapy. Whether the focus is treatment or assessment, our aim is to provide a service that is clear, grounded and genuinely useful.

  • Individual therapy is offered in 60 minute sessions, in person or by telehealth, for Medicare clients with a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP), NDIS participants and private clients.

    Therapy is tailored to your needs and goals, with a focus on thoughtful, evidence-based support that is practical, grounded and useful in day-to-day life.

  • Inner Western Psychology offers forensic assessment and reporting for individuals engaged in the legal system. Assessments are tailored to your legal needs and may draw on a range of standardised psychometric and forensic risk tools, with reports prepared in a comprehensive, objective and clinically informed manner.

  • Inner Western Psychology offers psychological assessment and diagnostic clarification for neurodivergence, mood and personality-related difficulties, functional capacity concerns, and more complex or overlapping presentations. Each assessment is tailored to you, with comprehensive reporting designed to provide clarity, insight and practical guidance around diagnosis, functional impact, and support needs.

    All assessments begin with a free 30 minute intake call, which can be booked online, followed by a comprehensive clinical interview. NDIS-funded functional and diagnostic assessments are available where appropriate.

  • Inner Western Psychology offers group therapy, including dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT) groups for neurodivergence and personality-related difficulties, as well as group therapy for anxiety, depression and other mood-related concerns.

    Group programs are delivered face-to-face and by telehealth, and run for 10 sessions over 10 weeks. They are designed to offer practical skill-building, shared learning and structured support in a warm and professional environment.

Our Fees

Fees are outlined below to help you make an informed choice about therapy or assessment. If you are unsure which option is the best fit, you are welcome to get in touch via our contact form.

  • Inner Western Psychology sees clients under Medicare’s Better Access initiative with a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP). If you are eligible, you can access up to 10 individual and 10 group subsidised sessions each calendar year. Sessions are charged at $265 for 60 minutes. The Medicare rebate depends on the MBS item billed.

  • Inner Western Psychology provides therapy for NDIS participants under Capacity Building supports. Sessions are charged at $232.99 for 60 minutes.  Inner Western Psychology works with self-managed and plan-managed participants.

  • Inner Western Psychology also offers private therapy for people seeking support with a broad range of emotional, behavioural, relational and psychological concerns. Sessions are charged at $265 for 60 minutes.

  • Fees for private, NDIS and forensic assessments vary depending on the nature and complexity of the issues being explored, and the time required for assessment, formulation and report writing.

    All assessments begin with a free 30 minute intake call, followed by a structured two hour clinical interview to better understand your presentation, needs and assessment goals. Following this, a tailored quote is provided for the full assessment, based on your individual needs and the scope of the work required.
